Nature Conservancy of Canada and Treaty Education Alliance want to come to your school to teach you, your students, and community members about species at risk!
NCC and T4EA staff will come to your classroom during a day and time that is convenient for you and give a 1 hour interactive presentation about why native prairie is important, what species at risk are found in our province, and what we can do to help protect them.
The presentation includes a jeopardy-style trivia game with prizes.
After the presentation, staff will coordinate the mural painting project with Michael Lonechild. Michael will come in to your classroom on a day shortly after the presentation to guide your students as they paint species at risk and native prairie artwork on canvas.
The finished mural projects will be delivered back to your school to be displayed!
There are also other species at risk activities available including building Bird Houses and Bat Houses.
