The Hummingbird is a messenger that brings knowledge from a long way back.
Using a hummingbird-inspired lens means seeing the world through an indigenous way of thinking. This supports best practices in developing and teaching curriculum through the utilization of community historians, Elders, knowledge keepers, cultural practitioners, and gatherings.
On June 10th, 2020, we premiered the following video that highlights our projects and initiatives that were inspired by the hummingbird, and developed in partnership with the Nature Conservancy of Canada:
